NIRA Temp information sharing is 100% opt-in from the user standpoint allowing for maximum privacy for each user. In other words, no user data is shared with organizations or other persons without the users expressed opt-in permissions.
The NIRA Temp device and associated mobile applications and servers store personal health information (PHI) in a private and secure manner according to the requirements of Medical Device Data Storage (Regulation MDDS under 21 CFR 880.6310). The PHI storage complies with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) which does not specifically regulate this device type.
NIRA Temp and its associated apps comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GPDR) regulations in the European Union and the Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) of California.
Special measures are implemented in the NIRA Temp design to ensure data integrity and safety, including cyber security threats such as unauthorized access or modification of the data. Such measures include proper authentication and authorization of access, encryption, and data integrity confirmation (in storage and transmission). The data protection is implemented in all levels including communication between mobile device apps and the thermometer, and communication between mobile device apps. Data is further protected while cashed or stored on any of device including the NIRA Temp device, mobile device running apps and database servers.
