Consistency is key when it comes to stunning results. The NIRA Lasers work similarly to exercise and muscle, it takes time for the collagen to rebuild, and the best results are seen with continued routine use.

For best results with the NIRA Lasers, treat your skin daily for 90 days or more according to the instructions for NIRA Pro and NIRA Precision. For possible enhanced results, you may treat twice a day; in the morning and the evening. We recommend waiting at least 1-minute before retreating to each area. Daily usage is recommended on an ongoing basis to maintain results.

The NIRA Lasers use the same laser chips found in many professional laser systems and our clinical study results are comparable to those from professional systems. However, our at-home laser technology is different in several important ways that makes it even better.

NIRA uses the same semiconductor laser diodes tuned at 1450 nm targeting the peak absorption in the dermis layers. NIRA uses a lower power per unit area and a non-fractional, non-ablative approach to avoid pain and erythema (redness). The NIRA laser spreads the energy over daily treatments over the course of a month, whereas a dermatologist typically treats with all the energy in one visit per month. Over time, NIRA Precision puts in more energy than most professional treatments do in a single visit and is able to generate equal or more skin wrinkle reduction.

By comparison, in-office lasers (also known as fractional lasers and/or ablative lasers) work by destroying columns of tissue and causing skin cells to die, which signals your body to produce more collagen to repair the damaged skin. This process causes redness to the skin, inflammation, pain, and downtime.

NIRA vs. LED Red Light Therapy

NIRA Laser Technology utilizes a non-fractional 1450nm wavelength, specifically engineered to penetrate the dermis, where it is absorbed by water molecules in the skin. This absorption leads to the heating of fibroblasts, which then stimulate collagen production. This process is backed by clinical studies showing significant results in skin texture and wrinkle reduction within 90 days, with deep dermal remodeling. NIRA is 200x more powerful than traditional LED Red Light Therapy, which operates using low-level light in the 600-1000nm range. LED light does not penetrate deeply enough to stimulate collagen production in the dermis and typically only affects the epidermis and shallow dermis. While LED can improve circulation and stimulate cellular activity, its collagen-stimulating effects are inconsistent and superficial, offering less lasting improvement compared to the deep, science-backed results achieved with NIRA.

NIRA vs. Microcurrent Therapy

NIRA Laser Technology uses a 1450nm wavelength that penetrates the dermis, where it targets fibroblasts to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. This deep stimulation of the dermal layers has been shown in clinical studies to result in long-term improvements in skin texture and a reduction in wrinkles, with visible effects within 90 days. On the other hand, Microcurrent Therapy works by delivering low-level electrical currents to facial muscles, which mimic the body’s natural electrical signals. The primary action of microcurrent is on the muscles, where it can temporarily tighten and tone by improving circulation. However, microcurrent does not penetrate the dermis deeply enough to stimulate collagen production, limiting its effects to temporary muscle toning and superficial lifting rather than collagen remodeling or skin rejuvenation.

NIRA vs. Collagen Creams

NIRA Laser Technology uses a 1450nm wavelength to penetrate the dermis, which is about 20x deeper than the surface-level hydration provided by collagen creams. NIRA’s laser energy stimulates fibroblast activity in the dermis, directly promoting collagen and elastin production, leading to long-term skin rejuvenation and wrinkle reduction. In contrast, collagen creams consist of collagen molecules that are too large to penetrate the skin’s barrier, so they only affect the outermost layer, the epidermis. While collagen creams may improve superficial hydration and texture temporarily, they don’t stimulate collagen production in the dermis, offering no substantial long-term effects on skin rejuvenation or wrinkle reduction.
