NIRA Precision FAQs
NIRA Precision FAQs
What is the NIRA Precision Laser?
The NIRA Precision Laser is the first and only painless at-home laser that is FDA-Cleared and clinically proven to reduce fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes in just 2 minutes a day. Its unique precision tip makes it simple, fast, and effective to treat small, hard-to-reach areas such as crow’s feet and wrinkles around the mouth.
Our patented non-fractional, non-ablative laser technology works by gently heating the dermis to stimulate natural collagen production - revealing firmer, youthful looking skin in 90 days. With five comfort levels to adjust to your skin’s sensitivity, NIRA Precision is the perfect portable, handheld device to achieve clinical-grade wrinkle reduction in the comfort of your own home and without pain, redness, or downtime.
Who can use the NIRA Precision Laser?
The NIRA Precision Laser can be used by anyone over the age of 22. NIRA is safe to use and suitable for all skin types and tones. In order to achieve FDA clearance, our technology was clinically tested on 76 subjects (both women and men) for efficacy and safety. Please see the instructions for each device for a full list of contraindications.
What does the NIRA Precision Laser feel like on the skin? Does it hurt?
The NIRA Precision Laser feels like a warm, pulsing sensation on your skin. The laser features 5 power (or comfort) levels that enable you to adjust the laser to your skin sensitivity.
If you are new to NIRA, we recommend starting on power level 1, seeing what it feels like, and gradually adjusting your power levels from there. As long as you feel warmth during treatment, and not pain, you are getting the benefits of the laser.
When can I expect to see results and what should I expect to see?
You should expect to see visible wrinkle improvements within 60 days and dramatic results after 90 days of regular use. We recommend applying the Moisture-Lock Hyaluronic Acid Serum and Youth Renewal Peptide Cream after your NIRA Precision Laser treatment as these skincare products provide quick results while the laser provides dramatic, long-lasting results over time.
We are so confident that you’ll love your results that we offer a 90-day money back guarantee.
Can I travel with the NIRA Precision Laser?
Yes! The NIRA Precision Laser is a portable, wireless device that travels well. NIRA Precision is small enough to fit in a carry-on bag, does not need to be plugged in for use, and contains a built-in lithium-ion rechargeable battery. If possible, we recommend packing the device in its original packaging to avoid damage.
Treatment
How do I know the NIRA Precision Laser is working?
The NIRA Precision Laser works by gently heating up the water in your skin to stimulate natural collagen production. If you feel a warming sensation while using NIRA Precision, the laser is working. To get the results illustrated on our website, you need to use the laser routinely - 40 pulses per eye, per day, for 90 days.
If you’re just starting out, set your NIRA Precision to level 1. Place the device tip to your skin and press the treatment button to fire the laser. A successfully delivered pulse is confirmed by 2 beeps. The first beep indicates that the laser has begun firing. The second beep indicates the laser has finished firing for that one spot. After 40 pulses are successfully completed, you will hear a jingle which indicates that you can move treatment to the next area.
Note: If you hear the initial pulse followed by the error tone, the pulse was not complete; you likely pulled the laser off the skin too early. Readjust the device, be sure the face of the laser is fully pressed against the skin, and fire the laser again. Hold the laser in place until you hear the second high-pitched beep.
How often should I use the NIRA Precision Laser?
Consistency is key when it comes to stunning results. The NIRA Precision Laser works similarly to exercise and muscle, it takes time for the collagen to rebuild, and the best results are seen with continued routine use.
For best results with the NIRA Precision Laser, treat your skin daily for 90 days or more according to the instructions. For possible enhanced results, you may treat twice a day; in the morning and the evening. We recommend waiting at least 1-minute before retreating to each area. Daily usage is recommended on an ongoing basis to maintain results.
Can I use the NIRA Precision Laser in other areas besides around the eyes?
The NIRA Precision Laser is FDA-Cleared for the treatment of wrinkles around the eyes and is proven safe for use on all skin areas on all skin types and tones. We have many customers that have reported improvements with wrinkles around the mouth, forehead wrinkles, dark circles around the eyes, and other blemishes on the face. We plan to get further FDA clearance for these other treatment areas to guarantee broader results.
How should I prep my skin before and after using the NIRA Precision Laser?
You may use any facial cleanser prior to your NIRA Precision Laser treatment. The lasers should be used on clean, dry, healthy skin. After each treatment, we recommend using our Skincare Bundle to lock in moisture, diminish the appearance of aging, and drive antioxidant activity - resulting in softer, smoother, and firmer looking skin. Follow the serum and face cream application with a moisturizer to maximize hydration, and of course, don’t forget your SPF!
How many pulses am I supposed to use per treatment area with NIRA Precision?
We recommend 40 pulses daily around each eye area. For possible enhanced results, the NIRA Precision Laser can be used twice a day. We recommend waiting at least 1-minute before retreating to each area.
If I use the NIRA Precision Laser on a higher power level, does it mean that I will see results faster?
If you are feeling warmth, then the NIRA Precision Laser is working. We do not have official testing that proves that using the NIRA Precision Laser at a higher level will decrease the amount of time needed for results. However, we have had users report seeing results faster when using the device at a higher level, sensitivity permitting.
After 3 months, do I still need to use the NIRA Precision Laser every day to maintain my results?
The NIRA Precision Laser works similarly to exercise and muscle - it takes time for the collagen to rebuild and the best laser treatment results are seen with continued routine use. NIRA Precision will stimulate your skin’s natural collagen production as long as you continue treatments. Daily usage is recommended on an ongoing basis to maintain results.
The NIRA Precision Laser can be used twice a day, morning and night, for possible enhanced results. We recommend waiting at least 1 minute before retreating to each area.
What happens if I completely stop using the NIRA Precision Laser?
Collagen naturally breaks down over time with age, ultraviolet (UV) exposure, and environmental pollutants. The NIRA Precision Laser helps build new collagen, which is naturally depleted over time with age, environmental pollutants, and sun exposure.
If you stop your NIRA laser treatment, you will likely start seeing natural signs of aging over time as new collagen production will no longer be stimulated. We recommend using the NIRA Precision Laser daily to continue stimulating natural collagen production for a brighter, firmer, and younger looking complexion.
Think of it like brushing your teeth. No matter how healthy and white your teeth are, once you stop brushing, they will become dirty and discolored.
What happens if I stop using the NIRA Precision Laser temporarily for a week or so while traveling?
It is not a problem if you need to stop using a NIRA Precision Laser temporarily - just start using it again when you return. However, the NIRA Precision Laser travels well, so you can always take it with you!
For best results, we recommend using the NIRA Precision Laser daily according to its instructions. You should start to see visible wrinkle improvements within 60 days of regular treatments and good, long-lasting results within 90 days of use. If you stop using the laser during your initial 90 days, your results will most likely be affected.
Can I use the NIRA Precision Laser every other day and just double my pulses?
For possible enhanced results, you may use the NIRA Precision Laser twice a day; in the morning and evening after cleansing and drying the treatment area.
However, if you can only use it every other day, then doubling the number of pulses may help you get the treatment needed to help promote natural collagen production for younger looking skin. We recommend waiting at least 1 minute before retreating to each area. Do not treat more than twice within a 1 hour period.
Can I treat each area more than once per day with a NIRA Precision Laser?
You may treat twice per day for possible enhanced results. We recommend waiting at least 1 minute before retreating to each area. Do not treat more than twice within a 1 hour period.
In addition, make sure that you move the laser to a new spot for each pulse. If you treat the same spot twice in a row, the heat in your skin may build up to a point where you feel discomfort or pain. This is not recommended and should be avoided. If you feel warmth, and not pain, your NIRA Precision Laser is working properly to stimulate your natural collagen production.
Will I see results faster if I treat with the NIRA Precision Laser more than twice per day?
For possible enhanced results, you may treat twice per day with the NIRA Precision Laser. However, we do not have official testing that proves that using NIRA Precision more than twice a day will decrease the amount of time needed for results.
Please note that we recommend waiting at least 1 minute before retreating to each area. Do not treat more than twice within a 1 hour period. In addition, make sure that you move the laser to a new spot for each pulse. If you treat the same spot twice in a row, the heat in your skin may build up to a point where you feel discomfort or pain. This is not recommended and should be avoided. If you feel warmth, and not pain, your NIRA laser is working properly to stimulate your natural collagen production.
Can I use the NIRA Precision Laser without the Hyaluronic Acid Serum or Peptide Cream?
Yes, our skincare products are designed to complement the laser but are not required for your laser treatment. Our ultra-hydrating Moisture-Lock Hyaluronic Acid Serum works to tighten the skin, while the Youth Renewal Peptide Cream provides deep skin renewal and nourishment. Used alongside the NIRA Precision Laser, which delivers dramatic results over time, this combination offers the quickest solution to fine lines and wrinkles!
Technology
What is a skincare laser for home use?
A skincare laser for home use is a compact, portable device that uses laser technology to provide skin treatments in the convenience of your own home.
NIRA’s at-home lasers are FDA-cleared and clinically proven to reduce fine lines and wrinkles without pain, redness, or downtime. Our patented non-fractional, non-ablative laser technology enables you to achieve the same clinical-grade results as professional fractional (or ablative) laser treatments, but at home, at a fraction of the price, and without any side effects.
What is non-fractional, non-ablative laser technology?
Non-fractional, non-ablative laser technology is a type of laser treatment that stimulates collagen production and promotes skin rejuvenation without removing the outer layer of skin. This type of laser delivers targeted thermal energy to the deeper layers of the skin, which stimulates collagen synthesis, improves skin texture, reduces wrinkles, and tightens the skin.
NIRA’s non-fractional, non-ablative laser technology works by gently heating the dermis to stimulate natural collagen production - revealing firmer, youthful looking skin in as little as 90 days. By harnessing the power of laser energy without damaging the skin, non-fractional and non-ablative laser technology provides a non-invasive alternative for wrinkle reduction without any side effects.
By comparison, most facial lasers either at-home or in-office are called "fractional lasers" and/or “ablative lasers”. Fractional or ablative lasers work by removing skin layers and destroying columns of tissue causing skin cells to die, which signals your body to produce more collagen to repair the damaged skin. This process often causes redness, scarring, inflammation, pain, and downtime.
