The NIRA Pro uses the same laser chips found in many professional laser systems and our clinical study results are comparable to those from professional systems. However, our at-home laser technology is different in several important ways that makes it even better.

NIRA uses the same semiconductor laser diodes tuned at 1450 nm targeting the peak absorption in the dermis layers. NIRA uses a lower power per unit area and a non-fractional, non-ablative approach to avoid pain and erythema (redness). The NIRA laser spreads the energy over daily treatments over the course of a month, whereas a dermatologist typically treats with all the energy in one visit per month.
