The Science Behind The NIRA Skincare Laser
Aging, and the signs that come with it, are inevitable. As we age, our bodies naturally stop producing collagen - causing the skin to wrinkle and sag. The natural aging process, combined with exposure to sun and pollution, destroys collagen -- the main protein of connective tissue that keeps skin plump and line-free.
Using the same advanced laser technology as dermatologists, the NIRA Skincare Laser reverses the impact of aging and renews the skin by transmitting a non-fractional and non-linear laser fluence to gently heat the dermis above the point of heat-shock protein (HSP) formation, and just below the pain threshold.
The NIRA Laser travels through the epidermis (outer skin) and is absorbed specifically in the dermis area of 100 to 500 microns deep which is where your collagen and elastin cells are located. NIRA raises the temperature of these cells very quickly (within 0.1 second), then the laser automatically backs off the power in order to maintain a temperature just underneath the pain threshold of 45° C, but well short of the damage threshold of 55-60° C. This process helps to maximize the signalling of cell rejuvenation, and stimulates natural collagen production to plump skin and smooth wrinkles without any damage - revealing firmer, youthful looking skin after using for just two minutes per day for 2-3 months. Individual results will vary, the skin takes around 8 weeks to respond to this signalling and rebuild new collagen which is why results will appear in approximately 2 months and continue to improve with continued laser usage.
Laser Treatment Process
Laser drives dermal temperature above 39° C where heat shock protein is formed, but below the pain threshold.
Laser power is greatly reduced to allow heat to spread and stabilize.
Laser power is increased a bit to gently raise temperature just below pain threshold.
Once dermal temperature is just below pain threshold, laser power is backed off to maintain this temperature.
Laser treatment ends, laser power is turned off and beep sounds. Dermal temperature slowly decreases over the next few seconds.
